It was our favourite evening of the week last night when we spied on the wedding plans of one couple in the BBC3 programme Don’t Tell the Bride. Care worker Alex was given the task of organising the entire event for his hairdresser fiancee Kara.
From the start Kara had stated that she wasn’t a traditional bride and wanted something which was out of the ordinary. So she got a village ‘fate’ theme along with a big dress, a barn reception and a pair of red mumsy shoes.
Did Alex do a good job or would you have been livid that he actually allowed his mates to spill beer all over the carpet and held the stag night from hell in the home you already live in?
Or doesn’t it matter? Does love conquer everything? Come on brides-to-be, share your thoughts with us. And just in passing did anyone else wonder how he managed to get changed so quickly from attractive vest after hay-baling into full wedding regalia, when Kara had already left for the venue? He must be superman, but I didn’t spy a phone box - perhaps it was a quick change coconut shy?
